It’s impossible to appreciate how vast the universe is. But this video will help

Earlier this year, NASA released a gigantic, incredibly sharp photo of the Andromeda Galaxy, taken by the Hubble space telescope.

Below is a small crop of the full image (which, NASA points out, is so big that to display it at full resolution, you’d need 600 HD TVs). The galaxy has more than 100 billion stars, spread over 40,000 light years. LINK
